Ares - Foster/Foster to Adopt

Ares is about 9 months old and is the shyest of his siblings. He isn’t keen on affection and pets yet, but he will approach for treats and does wag his tail at his foster mom sometimes! Not knowing his full history - only that he, his mom, and siblings were found on the side of the road - it’s not surprising that he’s apprehensive about people. He is very cuddly with his siblings, loves the resident adult and puppy samoyeds in his foster home, and likes to nap in a crate or playpen for a sense of safety.

Ares is getting braver by the day, but he will need help learning that harnesses and leashes aren’t scary or bad. He’s shy around new people, so it’ll take a little time for him to fully warm up in his new home. His ideal environment will have at least one confident dog to show him the ropes, a fully fenced yard, and lots of love and patience to teach him that he’s safe.

Upon pickup, Ares was one of the spiciest to harness and leash, but now he lets his foster mom pick him up and carry him, if needed. He loves a chewy, treats, and squeaky toys! He is the biggest of his siblings and has the speed to show for it! Watching Ares run is a sight to behold - he has beautiful movement.

Adoption fee: $825
