Ares - Siberian Husky Mix - 11 months
Ares is the shyest of his siblings and only wants affection on his terms. Not knowing his full history - only that he, his mom, and siblings were found on the side of the road - it’s not surprising that he’s apprehensive about people. He is very cuddly with his siblings, loves the resident adult dogs and fellow puppies in his foster home, and likes to nap in a crate or playpen for a sense of safety.
Ares is getting braver by the day, but he will need help learning that harnesses and leashes aren’t scary or bad. He will now walk on a leash and doesn’t mind getting harnessed as much after working with his foster mom! He’s shy around new people, so it’ll take a little time for him to fully warm up in his new home. His ideal environment will have at least one confident dog to show him the ropes, a fully fenced yard, and lots of love and patience to teach him that he’s safe.
Ares loves a chewy, treats, and squeaky toys! He is the biggest of his siblings and has the speed to show for it! Watching Ares run is a sight to behold - he has beautiful movement. He’s fully crate trained and will go into it with little to no prompting for his foster mom.
Ares will thrive in a home that’s patient and willing to take things at his pace.
