Hera is about 1.5 years old and was found on the side of the road with her 5 puppies. She started out pretty protective of her babies, but within the first day being in a home, she blossomed into a different dog. Her pups look to her for cues and guidance, so it’s great that she has gotten really affectionate and welcoming. She seeks out pets and belly rubs, and she wags her tail wildly for her foster mom.

Hera loves a good chewy treat like a bully stick. She like high-value snacks like salmon and beef jerky treats. She is content to lounge around, taking naps on the floor, couch, or bed. She does well with other same-size or larger dogs, but her ideal home won’t have small dogs, cats, or other small critters. Hera could be an only-dog in a household, too.

Hera’s heterochromia is stunning - she looks at you as if she knows she’s been saved, and is trying to show her gratitude. Her future family will be so lucky to have her!
