Wilson has a lot of great qualities - he is a sweet 7 year old boy who really enjoys being outside, especially when temps are on the cooler side. He is not fond of being in the house if it’s too warm. Wilson is a heavy chewer and needs appropriate things to chew around him, like yak cheese and other heavy-duty chews. He doesn’t like stuffy toys and will chew on things like remotes if left to his own devices.

Wilson prefers to be out of the kennel, but with light prompting he will go into his crate to sleep or while he’s home alone. He likes his kibble moistened - it must taste better that way! He’s not very active right now because his muscles need some strength and conditioning after being chained outside for so long. He likes going for walks, but he doesn’t jump onto furniture or into cars, so he needs to be lifted until his legs get stronger.

Wilson likes being groomed and brushed, and loves pets and belly rubs. He will bark when he needs something (like your attention), but he doesn’t bark at strangers or other dogs. His foster mom says she’s never heard him growl and he has not shown any reactivity towards people or other dogs - not even a bark!

Wilson’s ideal home would have a fenced yard that he could play in, a low to moderate level of activity to help built up his stamina, and lots of love!
